One of the premier destinations in the Garhwal Himalayas, Sri Hemkund Sahib is perched at a height of over 15,000 feet above sea level. Sri Hemkund Sahib has emerged as a popular centre of Sikh Pilgrimage visited every summer by thousands of devotees from all across the globe despite the harsh weather and treacherous terrain. Sri Hemkunt Sahib is supposedly the site which housed the seven snow peaks where Guru Gobind Singh Ji had once meditated in his previous birth.

Our departure is scheduled for early in the morning from Sahastradhara, Dehradun and we arrive around 8:30 am at the Ghangaria helipad. We then commence our journey towards Hemkund Sahib. A 1,100 metre (3600 ft) climb along a 6 km stone paved path leads to our destination. (Devotees are advised to take Ponies/Doli from Gangharia). After the Darshan, we aim to come back to Ghangharia around 3:00 pm. We begin our final leg of the journey to Dehradun. Our arrival in Dehradun is scheduled around 4:0 pm.

GUIDELINES FOR PASSENGERS

There is very limited space for luggage in the chopper. Only 5 kg luggage per passenger will be permitted.
Passengers bringing excess baggage would not be allowed to take the same in the chopper.
Passengers should carry only handbags as suitcases cannot be kept in the helicopter.
All temples in Chardham are located in high altitude areas. Passengers are advice to carry regular medical kit.
At these locations, it becomes cold throughout, so passengers must carry woolen clothes with them.
Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket
There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens
All properties lodge with hot water, towels, shower and western toilets.
